could do better 🍎

S T O R Y

I got a whole load of my stuff back from my parents a while back. Included in it were ALL of my school reports.

This one, from age 10, is especially brutal.

There was a theme. Please don’t tell my kids.

“Likeable, enthusiastic. Distracted.”

“Asset to the form. But needs to quieten her mind and tongue.”

“Communicates well orally and in writing. Lapses of concentration could be her undoing.”

 OUCH!

  • Other people’s feedback can be hard, but also helpful.

  • Who we were as a child is a big clue to who we will be as adults (I’m sure you can see how I’ve used that chattiness to my advantage now I’m an adult!)

  • Our strengths and talents begin in childhood and (hopefully) hone and develop as we grow older and gain experience, and self awareness (and in my case, self control).

A C T I O N

Can you remember any key themes from your school reports?

What clues do they  give you to the person you are today?

Have a think on this quote:

“What did you do as a child that made the hours pass like minutes?

Herein lies the key to your earthly pursuits. “ - Carl Jung

P.S.  I’m launching my Purpose Pursuit course in Sept. Get yourself on the wait list here.

P.P.S. I was that pain of a student that went on to be a teacher!
