Meet Hannah Miller, The Founding Director

There are some big egos out there in the coaching world, but I’m trying to do things differently. This isn’t about me; it’s about you, your team and the kind of leader you want to be. 

I’m here to guide you towards the kind of leadership and culture that enables you and your team to play to their strengths and maximise their effectiveness.

I work hard to ensure you have access to a personalised combination of certified coaching, training and actionable strategies. As your sidekick, I encourage you to pursue your cause with confidence and clarity. I believe in bringing joy and life to the workplace

My Background

I have had a wide and varied career so far.. I’m a proud teacher by trade (although that’s not where I started – that was in marketing), I’ve been involved in leading three start-ups, including this business. I enjoy communicating in all its forms and see it as a powerful tool for development. To date, I have won the following awards for my speaking: Vistage Rising Star 2019, Vistage Outperformer 2022 and I’ve featured in several press releases, and contributed to numerous podcasts 

I’m what you call a “Certified Strengths-Based Coach”. This is NOTHING to do with weightlifting and everything to do with personality and preferences. I have been trained so that when I work with you, I give you the tools to really get to know yourself,  what you do best, what your contribution is - what your STRENGTHS are. From this foundation, we then get to know your team, what they do best - what your TEAM strengths are. 

Then you’re armed to both build and lead a team that really works. 

Other things that I love to do that may or may not be of interest: spending time with my three teenage sons and my husband, writing lists, planning trips, running and walking with my dog Pax, and drinking tea.

Laura

Laura is the EA to Hannah. Which translates into excellent organiser, admin slayer, comms prioritiser and juggler of many varied balls. Laura is genuinely delightful, always ready to work hard with a smile on her face. If you’ve not chatted with her yet, we  hope you get to do so soon because she is a ray of sunshine on a dreary day. Laura is passionate about purpose, and believes that the clearer our sense of personal mission is; the better our mental health and well-being

Zo

Zo is our Influence & Engagement Lead. Zo is a wonderful calming influence on the team. She thinks down the line, questions what we are doing, brings a fresh perspective and big vision. She’s married to our graphic designer, has an incredible voice and has fallen in love with Hannah’s dog, Pax. She is expanding our thinking, gets the vision, embodies the values and is a breath of fresh air.

James

James is our COO: Chief of Other (Stuff No One Else Wants to do). James is an actual gift. Not only is he one of the most efficient individuals I know, he is also fully committed and full of encouragement. James turns ideas into reality, streamlines processes and makes things work beautifully. I know that if I ask James to do something, it’ll be both done in a jiffy and done better than I could have imagined. The state of my desktop and the number of tabs I leave open causes James to have heart palpitations. Sorry James.

Liz

Liz is cool, calm and collected. She’s wise and experienced, and I always feel safe knowing she is involved in a project. As soon as you get to work with Liz, you will understand why people feel comfortable sharing honest self-reflections with her. Liz is an employee engagement expert, experienced with Gallup’s products: Q12, BP10 and CliftonStrengths. If you want guidance on how to build your team – Liz is your secret weapon. She’s eager to share the skills and experience she gained during her 15-year tenure at Mars (the company, not the planet).

Justin

Justin has a distinctive coaching style. Full of passion, zest and know-how, Justin is not only a Strengths expert; he’s a personal finance guru and sustainability sage. Also known as ‘The Wild Trainer’, Justin is the one you go to, to help you take a new perspective on your challenges. His nature is equally disarming as it is encouraging. A man of many talents, Justin is a trained accountant and had a fantastic career with IBM before flying the nest.

Fraser

Fraser brings confidence, clarity and courage to you and your project. He is a master inquirer and is the secret weapon of choice for you if you want to get to the root of your problem, quickly. As well as being part of the sidekick alliance, Fraser is one of the directors of his family-owned Michelin star restaurant and the vice-chair of a global medical relief charity. Previous to this, he worked tirelessly to find the best people for the right roles in global development organisations.

The Sidekick Foundation

At Sidekick, We are deeply passionate about equality, and we believe that to have a lasting impact, we need to equally be able to illuminate the paths of people who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to access our services. That’s why every time we work together 10% is given away to our sidekick foundation.

The sidekick foundation exists to play our part in leveling out the playing field. We reinvest 10% of all real sales (not profits) in partnerships with brilliant organisations that are working towards this vision in both local, national and global contexts.

We focus on 3 goals to help us choose our partnerships; all our partners have the same goals as we do. These are taken from the UN Sustainable Development Goals:

We will regularly publish an update full of stories of hope and information on who we (that means you, too) have partnered with.

The sidekick foundation is not a bolt-on to our core business; it is our core business. It is key to our sense of purpose and is a major motivator for growth. We love the fact that we get to work with people and their businesses to enhance their sense of purpose and vision, and as we do so, we are partnering together to improve the outcomes for those facing the toughest challenges on the planet.
