Overthinking? Here’s what you can do 🤯

Hello, dear reader,

One of the things that drives me mad about myself is my inability to switch my brain off. At night, I would love to be more like my husband, who, generally speaking, can put his head on the pillow and fall asleep instantly. I’m there, processing the day, remembering things I’ve said, and coming up with about 150 new ideas (which I will have forgotten by the morning).

It’s my version of overthinking.

I don’t overthink decisions as much – I’m less of a pontificator. It’s less overthinking, more thinking in overdrive.

But some of you reading this know that you do overthink. You go over and over past conversations. You rethink your decisions repeatedly. You’re driven by perfectionism, wanting to be sure you’re making the best or the right choice. You’re constantly planning ahead to make sure nothing can go wrong.

But what if perfection doesn’t exist?

What if doing something is better than doing nothing?

In this episode, we explore:

- The three types of overthinking

- The impact it has on us

- What to do about ANTs

- What causes decision paralysis

- What we can do to overcome it

You can listen to the podcast, but why not take it a step further? Actively resist overthinking by making one of the best decisions you’ve made in a while.

If you’re a woman at a crossroads in life, step off the overthinking fence and join us in *The Purpose Pursuit*, a coaching programme and community designed just for you. If you’re on the verge of a new chapter, facing the end of the previous one, or even wishing you were, this is for you. What’s there to think about?

You can listen to the podcast, but you can also go one step further and make the best decision and come and join us in The Purpose Pursuit. It's a coaching programme and community designed for women at life’s crossroads. If you’re on the verge of a new chapter, or facing the end of the previous one (or want to be!) then this is for you. Why wait?

Before I sign off, here are a few final thoughts to take with you today:

1 quote: "Confident people aren’t more likely to be right, they’re just more willing to make imperfect choices."

1 stat: Research shows that around two-thirds of us admit to chronic overthinking.

1 question: How is overthinking this situation helping you, and how is it holding you back?

Doors close to The Purpose Pursuit this weekend, so don’t let overthinking drag on too long – or the decision might be made for you!

Love,

Hannah x
