navigating life's regrets 🙇♀️
Hello dear reader,
I’ve been musing on the topic of regret recently and I wonder if you’ve ever had that deep feeling of regret yourself? It could either be for a good reason or not so good reason. I have had many different regrets in my life (some trivial and others more important) and chatted all about them on this week’s podcast episode.
We dig deep into the topic of regret and delve into the poignant insights offered by Bronnie Ware's book, "Top 5 Regrets of the Dying." Have you read it? Drawing from her experiences as a palliative care nurse, Ware shares the profound regrets expressed by individuals nearing the end of their lives. These regrets serve as reminders of the importance of living authentically and purposefully and I talk about this a lot in my signature course "The Purpose Pursuit".
In the episode we explore each of the top five regrets identified and reflect on the universal themes that resonate with people from all walks of life. The top five regrets are:
I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself and not what others expected of me
I wish I hadn't worked so hard
I wish I had the courage to express my feelings
I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends
I wish I'd let myself be happier
Quite hard-hitting. Do any resonate with where you are at today?
Join us as we navigate the landscape of regrets, seeking to transform them into opportunities for growth, connection, and living a life without regrets.
I hope you enjoy listening or watching this week’s episode.
